Education
Born and raised in blue collar Buffalo, New York, Steve Kantor attended Michigan State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication, Arts and Sciences. He then went on to attend the Michigan State University Detroit College of Law to receive his J.D. Degree in 1989.
Experience
Steve has aggressively represented injured workers and their families throughout the East and Midwest. He has been an active member in the American Association of Justice, the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys and the National Trial Lawyers Railroad Accident Association. On April 21, 1997, Steve was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He has been an adjunct lecturer at the State University of New York at Buffalo’s Law School, focusing his teaching on Personal Injury Practice.
Leadership
Under his supervision, The Kantor Gullo Law Firm has resolved several contested cases, obtaining multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients. Lawyers are rated through the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings Service, which evaluates lawyers throughout the United States. A Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating attests to a lawyer’s legal ability and professional ethics and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary. Steven Kantor is proud to have been rated “distinguished”, indicating a very high peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards for over twenty five years.
Steve is proud to have been recognized multiple times by the National Trial Lawyers for distinctions including their Top 10 Railroad Accident Trial Lawyers, Top 25 Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyers, and Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers, and was a 2021 Super Lawyers Honoree.
